Unmodified medication 3 per cent of the substance was detected unchanged in the urine after 24 hours. Tianeptine’s beta-oxidation produces three primary metabolites. Tianeptine’s metabolite profiles in faeces and plasma were found to be qualitatively similar to those in urine.
